Greetings from Dublin Club

GordonMcInally1The Club were delighted to welcome Alan Davidson, the President of the Rotary Club of Dublin, to the zoom meeting Monday 14 September. President Alan stressed it was an honour to attend and that he had wanted to visit in person but that is not possible at the moment. He advised that he had met President Ken at a District PEPS meeting and recognising the two Clubs had had a long relationship both were very keen to "resuscitate" the relationship and he hoped something could be arranged in the near future. He passed on greetings from their members and noted that whilst their zoom meetings were also working well there was the disadvantage of no face to face interaction which is missed. They have had a few meetings in outdoor restaurants but with winter looming those will not be.

Stressing that he was an appreciative aficionado rather than an expert he gave a most informative, illustrated narrative about Single Malt Whisky. A lively discussion followed and President Ken thanked him for his fascinating address concluding by noting that the next joint venture must include a whisky/whiskey tasting!
