Rotary Club of Belfast

The Polio Fellowship

EddieMcCrorySpeaker Eddie McCrory gave a most interesting and informative address to the Club Monday 12 October, which was extremely well received. He spoke about the impact of his getting Polio aged 7 and the symptoms he and others now have in previously unaffected limbs from the syndrome known as Post or Long Polio. He advised that he joined the NI Polio Fellowship in 1958 and is now its acting Chairman and they not only provide fellowship for fellow survivors but also are actively involved in highlighting the problems now being encountered by them.

He stressed that the Fellowship have been involved with Rotary for many years.
