Rotary Club of Belfast

ShelterBox 2020 Thanks

2020 has been a tough year. Disasters mercilessly struck one after another from one side of the world to the other and coronavirus continues to spread. Even in these unprecedented times, ShelterBox have continued their relief, though travel and working restrictions made their work more challenging, and they were able to support nearly 40,000 families - 200,000 people (which is more than 2019!) working on 17 different responses from tropical cyclones, flooding, drought, volcanic eruptions and conflict across: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Tanzania, The Philippines, Somalia, Syria Hondurus, Malawi and Vanuatu.

With the help of their links with local partners worldwide, combined with storage of shelter materials and tools in multiple locations globally, they have been able to provide emergency shelter and other essential items to the families who need it most.

ShelterBox thank for the continued support in 2020, which has transformed lives.
