Lord Mayor visits the Club

Lord Mayor 23.02.21The Club were delighted to welcome Alderman Frank McCoubrey, Lord Mayor of Belfast to the zoom Club meeting Monday 22 February. The Lord Mayor, who is an Honorary Member during his term of office noted he was very pleased to attend and honoured to continue the long standing tradition of the Lord mayor visiting the Club, even if it was in these difficult circumstances by zoom and not in person. His well-received address highlighted the Belfast Agenda, the City Council’s vision for 2035 and acknowledged how the Club were at the forefront of charitable endeavours at home and abroad and the work with YouthAction, Mitchell House and Polio Eradication was a testament of Rotary’s motto ‘Service Above Self’.
