Rotary Club of Belfast

Promoting NI

Trevor Ringland 27.09.21The Club was delighted to welcome to the zoom meeting Monday 27 September guest speaker Trevor Ringland who gave a most amusing and wide ranging account of many aspects of his life.

He particularly thanked the Club for the John Savage Award to PeacePlayers NI from which he has recently stepped down as Chairman. Highlighting their very powerful message that: “Children who play together can learn to live together" he noted that it shows what's possible in particular pointing out the success with the Holy Cross communities in North Belfast.

He advised that he had recently been appointed as NI Special Envoy to the US reporting directly to the Secretary of State and the Prime Minister representing all and would be building relationships and giving a constructive and positive view of working, investing and living in NI. He maintained that companies come here because of the skills available, access to Government, people loyalty and it's a good place to live.
