Cork Tree of Remembrance

Tom Woodward 20.09.21The Club were delighted to welcome to the zoom meeting 22 September Rotary Club of Cork Past President Tom Woodward who, in a very well received and appreciated address, spoke about the success of their Club’s Tree of Remembrance which started 16 years ago and, going from strength to strength, was now embedded in the Cork city centre Christmas experience. He revealed that in their first year they raised £3,000 but in the last year before Covid they raised over £100,000 and last year even with Covid restrictions £60,000! All proceeds are distributed to local Cork charities.
