New Year Message 2022

Rev Janice Brown 10.01.22Rev Janice Browne’s New Year’s Message address to the Club Monday 10 January covering her interesting ministry and encouraging message was very well received by members. Thanking for the opportunity to share some thoughts she began by sharing a passage from St Paul's 1st Lesson to the Thessalonians (verses 2-4), which she advised was written about 50AD and reminds and encourages us concerning the value of things like thankfulness, fellowship, teamwork and how God works through us.

"We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction."

She highlighted her time ministering to 3 churches in Donegal which entailed 3 services every Sunday and to 1st Presbyterian Church Donaghadee before she retired in 2021.

Rev Janice concluded her address by reflecting again on the verses from St Paul which highlight Thankfulness, Fellowship, Friendship and Teamwork and which are reflected by being a member of Rotary. She gave thanks that the work of Rotary at home and around the world makes such a difference and that members be encouraged and blessed serving others
