Club hears about Ethics in Business

PPGordonEthicsPresentation2Thank you Past President Gordon Millington who, reflecting a very personal interest spanning some 30 years of his career as a civil engineer gave a very thoughtful and thought-provoking talk on the ethics and development of codes of conduct within his profession to the Club Monday 27 April 2015.

As a vice-chair of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Disciplinary Board, its Ethics Committee and Investigating Committee, he spoke with some authority on his subject; but the issues raised were of more general relevance—pertinent to other professions and indeed in all strands of business and commercial life. He also drew parallels with Rotary's guiding principles and the Four-Way Test—Rotary's own ethical guide

His talk, which resonated extremely well, was well received by his very attentive audience.
