RIBI President Peter Davey visits Belfast

RIBIPres16visitThe Club were honoured to welcome RIBI President Peter Davey and his wife Sandra accompanied by District Governor Declan and Pat to the Club Friday 27 May 2016.

We were also delighted to welcome to the well attended special meeting 19 visitors from other clubs who were introduced by PP Ronnie McLean: Ballymena - President Jim Briggs and Valerie; Bangor & Donaghadee - Hon. Member Past District Governor Edwin A. Dunlop; Belfast East - President Scott Harte and Past President Sir William Hastings; Belfast Fortwilliam - President Clifford Arnold, Assistant District Governor Roland Bailie and Past President Steven Phillips; Carrickfergus - Past President Colin McCarthy; Donaghadee - Hon. Secretary Past President Mike Camlin; Donnaghadee & Comber - Hon. Member Norman Ferguson and Fiona; Dungannon - President Derek Clements; Larne - Assistant District Governor PP William Cross and Tedi; Lisburn - I Past President Sam Patterson and Portadown - Past District Governor President Ernest Lawson, Past President Kate Adams and Past President Gordon Speers. 21 Club members and 1 Hon. Member also attended.

DG Declan Tyner referred to the great and busy time they had had since Peter and Sandra arrived in Cork 2 days ago. President Peter expressed delight at being present and thanked the other Clubs for attending. His inspiring address concluded with his urging all to "Enjoy Your Rotary" noting that if we do then communities will see the sheer joy in being a Rotarian and we can build a strong future.
