Rotary Peace Fellows come to Belfast

PeaceFellowshipScholarsWithPresRonnieThe Club were delighted to welcome Monday 18 April the Rotary Peace Fellows based at the University of Bradford's Rotary Peace Centre The students hailed from countries as diverse as Canada, Jordan, USA, Kenya and South Sudan. Ken Robertshaw, RC Halifax Club Secretary and District 1040 Past District Governor 2007/8, noted that they were delighted to attend and he was personally privileged to be the co-ordinator of such a vibrant group.

He complimented District 1160 stating that it is noteworthy for contributing to the Programme. They spoke briefly about themselves and what they are hoping to do, each reflecting their different backgrounds. 

Rotary annually selects up to 100 individuals from around the world to receive fully funded academic fellowships at one of its five peace centres in Australia, Japan, Sweden, the US, and in the UK at Bradford. More information on the Rotary Peace Fellowships can be seen here.
