Rotary Club of Belfast

President Ivan on Belfast 89FM Programme

Belfast 89FM interviewPresident Ivan was interviewed by Belfast 89FM's Lisa Johnston on 03 October during their Thursday Morning Talk-In for the first in a brand new series that they are having to highlight the community and charitable work undertaken by Rotary Clubs across the Province. The wide-ranging interview covered the rich history of the Club; why President Ivan joined Rotary and how being the President enables him to facilitate the delivery, into the community, of the Club's service projects and give members the opportunity to be involved with them.

It also highlighted as Lisa said the "fantastic achievement" of the presentation of long service awards to 19 members; the recent donation of 10 TVs to the Children's Hospice and the Club projects: TABU, support for Polio Eradication, ShelterBox and AquaBox and the hosting of Rotary Global Scholars together with planned events to Christmas. The interview concluded with President Ivan noting the benefits of being a member particularly that Rotary facilitates being "able to give back" to the local community and all information on the Club, Rotary and how to join can be found on the Club website.
