Rotary Club of Belfast

KidsOut Day 2017

W5 2017For this year's Rotary 'Kids Out Day' the Club again organised for 25 Mitchell House Special School children to visit the W5 Science and Discovery Centre at the Odyssey complex on Friday 09 June which was a great hit with the children (and the adults!).

A couple of hours flew by and all set out to Pizza Hut for a well deserved lunch of pizzas, chicken nuggets and drinks. The children were as usual fantastic, very well behaved, polite and appreciative. The Club have received the children's hand made thank you card from the school.

kidsoutKids Out Day is an event carried out by a large number of the Rotary Clubs throughout UK and Ireland on the same day – taking kids with learning or physical difficulties to some fun place for the day. The Club have been participating in this day out for many 9 years and have taken the pupils of Mitchell House School out for the day to the Portaferry Aquarium, Castle Espie, the Zoo and Streamvale Open Farm, Dundonald and the Ulster Museum.
