Molly's Story

MollyComishThe Club congratulate and are pleased to support a Rotary Young Citizen Award 2017 winner Molly Comish (nominated by Bray Rotary Club, Co Wicklow) who having seen many homeless people living and sleeping on the streets of her hometown of Bray and in the wider area of Dublin in 2015 felt she had to help them. The 18-year-old came up with the idea of 'dignity packs' - packages of essential personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, deodorants and warm hats – which she would distribute before Christmas 2016. Saving all her tips from her part-time job.

DignitypackMolly was able to create 120 packs, which she put in backpacks and is now in the process of setting up “Dignity Packs” as a charity. She tells her story in the very short video above.
