Membership Matters

The Club were delighted to welcome District Membership Team Leader Sean Fitzgerald to the Club Meeting Monday 03 June. Admiring the heritage of the Dublin and Belfast Clubs Sean noted that the most burning issue for all in Rotary today is membership. He revealed that District membership levels have stabilised and a number of clubs are back introducing members so the outlook is, hopefully, for positive figures. He recommended ways to increase and retain membership and left members with the thought “if someone hadn’t asked you to join what would you have missed?” noting that he had enjoyed fellowship, friendship, help to integrate into a new community when he moved and the chance to change communities.
