Rotary Club of Belfast

One2One Care

MicheletalksOne2OneIn an interesting and well received address to the Club Monday 19 August Michelle Howorth, Business Operations Manager for Bryson Care’s One2One Service, detailed their private service launched in 2015 as part of the Bryson Charitable Group family. Michelle advised that the Service offers companionship and assistance with practical tasks to people living alone in their own homes, with a focus on maximising independence and reducing social isolation through companionship and care. Laundry, light housework, meal preparation, respite sits, pop-in security checks and a genuine sense of friendship is offered from £15 per hour and they aim to deliver a service that is flexible and built around the person’s needs.

MichelleHoworth2She pointed out that they have over 200 service users across Greater Belfast, providing 500+ hours of care and companionship every week across Newtownabbey, Glengormley, Carrickfergus, Carryduff, Lisburn, Dunmurry, Holywood, Newtownards, Bangor, and Donaghadee.  All their Support Workers are security checked through Access NI and are specially trained in dementia awareness and safeguarding. She stressed that if anyone has some free time and would like to provide practical support and offer some company to people in their community they are always looking for people to join their team.

After an excellent question and answer session she concluded by noting if anyone knows someone who might benefit from the service they are always happy to have a chat by phone on 028 90347731 or to email her at This email address is being protected from spambots.
