Visit from District Governor William Cross

DGWilliam Explains Banner Motif 25.11.19The Club were delighted to welcome Rotary Ireland Rotary Ireland District Governor William Cross to the Club meeting Monday 25 November. Having exchanged banners with President Karen he addressed the Club on the 3 questions members need to ask themselves: why did you join; what does Rotary do for you and what do you do for Rotary? He also stressed the great potential for new members encouraging all to get involved not only at the Club level but also at District. He revealed his 3 chosen charities for this year: Sightsavers, the deserving cause of the Mark Pollock Foundation noting that 3,000 had recently Run in the Dark in Stormont and Bikes for Africa which was so popular in the prisons they had more resource than funds to send the refurbished bikes! Concluding his very well-received address he thanked the Club encouraging all to keep up the good work and let Rotary Connect the World.
