Rotary Club of Belfast

Christmas Party 2022

IMG 1485The Club were delighted to end activities for the year by again providing the traditional Christmas party for 40 Junior School children from Mitchell House. This was the first year it has been possible to do it since Covid and following its very familiar format, judging by the reaction of the children and the look on their faces, it was another resounding success and the enthusiasm was contagious. Without being there it is impossible to imagine the squeals of delight, the peels of laughter and sheer enjoyment from all the children and staff and all those present including Rotarian 'elves' President Steven, PPs Brian Clements, Mark Davidson, John McCleery and John Williamson. Magic George as usual entertained with his juggling, wayward monkey puppet, whose various tricks were met with huge acclaim from the children.

IMG 7729Having had drinks and snacks Santa (who bore a remarkable resemblance to PP Brian Clements….) arrived and distributed presents to each child.

As always, it was an amazing morning with special memories. Confirming how beneficial this project is the school were very grateful and the Club thank all who attended or contributed in any way.
