YA cheque 23.01.23The Club was delighted to welcome Dr. Martin McMullan, Director YouthAction NI to the Club Monday 21 January with Clare Conlon, Team Leader Training; former Intern Cori Conlon and current Intern Jamie McAdoo. 

Having been presented with a cheque from President Steven Dr McMullan thanked the Club for the long standing relationship and support and revealed that YouthAction NI support 10,000 young people every year across the province with their programmes including skill days, internships, first start in life in jobs and 5 nation events which focus on youth employability and the importance of increasing life skills and personal contact.

He particularly acknowledged that the Club have supported 20 interns over the years and introduced former Intern Cori Conlon and current Intern Jamie McAdoo who spoke about their experiences.

Clare Conlon stressed that Youth Employability was the core part of their work and that it was even more important as post-Covid young people really needed support to get into work.
