Rotary Club of Belfast

Sad News

The Club was greatly saddened to be advised of the death from cancer of 2010 TABU student Leancha Smith (nee McGivern) 21 August 2023. She was 31 and is survived by her husband Christopher and 7 year old daughter Meabh.

She had continued her involvement with cross community and was involved with Clonard Monastery, where she was held in high regard, as well as with Youth Link NI which supports the Churches in providing opportunities for young people of different traditions and cultural backgrounds to develop mutual understanding.

Past President David Boyd, who attended the funeral on August 25, expressed the condolences of the Club to her mother and the family circle and her husband Christopher.
