Congratulations

The Club is delighted to congratulate San Antonio Rotary Club's JC Clapsaddle who has received the 2024 San Antonio International Leadership Award. The Club have been working with JC on a Seeds of Hope project with Corrymeela.

The Award is presented by the San Antonio Council for International Visitors annually to a leader whose work exemplifies the mission of the U.S. State Department and Global Ties U.S., advancing peace, combatting foreign disinformation campaigns, advocating U.S.-style democracy and promoting citizen diplomacy through international engagement.

He received the award during SACIV’s annual ceremony at the University of the Incarnate Word. Presenting the Award Board Chair Patricia Stout noted:  "JC’s accomplishments are truly global: from his humanitarian relief missions in war-torn Ukraine to his helping found the International Peace Leadership Academy in Northern Ireland; supporting refugee aid efforts in Poland and his service as a Rotarian and an Ambassador for the International Institute for Economics and Peace in London—his work is a testament to global peacebuilding. He truly embodies the concept of a ‘Citizen Diplomat.’”
