Rotary Club of Belfast

Ten Foundations

Ten Foundations 27.01.25The Club was delighted to hear about the charity Ten Foundations at the Club meeting 27 January from Founder Ian Campbell and JCI members John Rea and Michael Lynch who in moving addresses explained the work of the charity and talked about their visit to see the area last October which was beset by a Typhoon for 2 days. Ten Foundations supports vulnerable children, families and communities in the remote Balayan region in the Philippines to, through education and developing skills, earn an income and improve their living conditions. Michael Lynch and Club member John Rea are members of JCI Belfast, who are supporting the building of homes there, noted they had been humbled by the visit and found it life changing and were impressed that every penny raised helps the community as it has a direct impact on the people that they met. The Club has also taken the charity on as a focus area.
