Past President Brian Byers PHF RIP

It is with great sadness we record the sudden death Friday 23 February of Past President Brian Byers PHF

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Olive, his daughters Lucy and Helen and all the family circle at this very sad time

He will be greatly missed by all his friends especially those in the Rotary Clubs of Belfast and Highland Park/Highwood, Chicago

Brian especially identified with our TABU(Towards a Better Understanding) Exchange Project with Highland Park, Chicago being a founder participant and central to the development of our special relationship with that club recognised by their award to him of a Sapphire Paul Harris Fellowship in 2009.

He will always be remembered holding aloft the prized TABU banner and relating to the students and as recently as last Tuesday he was developing his unique relationship with the latest 2018 students who will travel to Chicago at Easter.

Membership of the Club is an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience and we are actively looking for new people to invite to join and breathe new vibrancy and ideas into the Club and take Rotary into its second century in Belfast.
