Rowel in Concert

Friers Concert September 2018President Mark, Immediate Past President Rosemary Simpson, Hon. Secretary Lorna Magill, Teddy Elliott, Hilary Gault and Past President Maurice and Hilary Brooks - had a most enjoyable evening at the Rowel Friers Concert in Bangor Elim Church Thursday 06 September. Aged only 17 Rowel (pictured with the group) is a most accomplished pianist and well worth hearing and played a wide range of music from Chopin to Boogie Woogie.

01.pres day03. EveningSunPresident Rosemary concluded her year at her President’s Dinner held 25 June at the Royal Belfast Golf Club. Always a highlight of the Club's year and this year's relaxed and convivial evening was again greatly enjoyed by the 60 members and guests.

The Silver Line Charity Lunch

04.IMG 0481.202.IMG 0557President Rosemary welcomed all especially Guest Speaker Dame Esther Rantzen, The Silver Line CEO Sophie Andrews OBE and District Governor Roland Bailie to the special Fundraising Lunch which was attended by over 140.

In a highly entertaining and frequently anecdotal address Dame Esther detailed how The Silver Line began, its importance and how it operates.
