Dinner 3We enjoyed a fantastic fellowship visit over the RIBI Conference weekend 09-13 April 2015 with 11 new and renewed friends from Kingston Rotary Club. These, usually biennial, visits began 22 years ago when the daughter of one of our members moved to Kingston and are always ones to look forward to full of good times and friendship and, as ever, this one certainly was.

Jazz Brunch raises funds for ShelterBox

BrunchTimeThe Club is delighted to be able to donate over £1,000 to ShelterBox after the Club Jazz Brunch held Sunday 22 March when a splendid afternoon held in the excellent CIYMS Sports Complex was greatly enjoyed by over 60 members, family and friends. Funds are critically needed to enable them to continue to help people after disasters such as the recent storm in the Pacific island of Vanuatu leaving staggering quarter of a million people homeless and urgently needing help.

Christmas Dinner 2014

Dinner 01The Club enjoyed another wonderful evening at the Club Christmas Dinner Meeting held in the Ulster Reform Club Monday night 15 December.

Over 70 Club members, guests and Inner Wheel Club members had a splendid evening of fellowship. Thanks to Past President Bryan Johnston the tables were kept engaged with a taxing "Name the Photos" Quiz. There were no full marks but 4 members tied on a score of 8/10. Out of these Doreen McLean drew David Boyd's entry for the first prize of 16year old Bushmills Single Malt Whiskey and Ken Nixon's for a Thornton's Reindeer. This great fun quiz raised £170 for the Club Trust Fund.

Grub Club at the Metropolitan College

DSC0128742 members and partners enjoyed a convivial fine dining evening at the Linen Lounge Restaurant at the Belfast Metropolitan College, Tuesday 04 November. The delicious 3 course meal so beautifully presented was prepared and served under supervision by teams of 8 and 4 students respectively and ranged from pigeon, butternut squash risotto and soup of the day to guinea fowl, lamb and cod all finished off with a delightful selection of desserts and complimentary petits fours with tea and coffee.
